Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to The Cluck Yard of course! Cluck Chicken have moved across the road from their old location and their new yard is impressive to say the very least.

Cluck Chicken opened their now famous big yellow egg on the 30th of October last year and what a whirlwind 6 months it has been for husband and wife team, Ian and Elaine Ussher. Cluck started a fried chicken craze that took over Dublin and as regular visitors to Cluck’s Walkinstown location, Dublin Social knows why.

Ian once claimed the prestigious title of Euro-Toques young chef of the year back in 2007 and has since worked in a number of high-end restaurants including The Greenhouse, which currently holds two Michelin stars. It 2020 when he convinced wife Elaine to plough the savings into Cluck Chicken and with queues recently hitting over an hour, the initial investment looks like a good one.

The Cluck Yard is designed to reduce that queuing time drastically with a tailored kitchen for faster orders without losing the Cluck Chicken high standards. The yard will be open fully for “dine-in” on June 7th once restrictions are lifted, with a range of seating including large pods to keep the whole family dry in the unpredictable Irish summer. A pager system has been introduced for efficiency and will buzz when your order is ready for collection.
